About: for media planners

The Student Media Director is 100% free to use.

26% of all 18-24's in Australia are in one place: campus.

And now all of the student media and campus advertising opportunities are in one place too.

Studentmedia.com.au is a student media directory for media planners and marketers. It was launched on February 2010 - so it's still growing.

What would take weeks of research, emails and phone calls in 2009, now takes minutes...

Want to know who to call to book oweek stalls for next year...?
The right people on each campus are listed on the Oweek page. Add them to your Media Plan and you can download their contact details on one spreadsheet.

Want to know the art deadlines for student diary ads...?
Go to the Diaries page to find all the dates as rates as soon as they are released.  Add them to your Media Plan and you can download everything on one spreadsheet.

Want to know how many students are using Twitter vs MySpace vs FaceBook vs LinkedIn...?
Go to the Research page to find the answer.

Want to sponsor events on campus...?
Go to the Events page. The important contacts on campus are all there.

Aren't you glad you didn't have to plan a campus campaign last year!

About: for student media owners

The Student Media Director is 100% free to use.

26% of 18-24's are on campus, but 26% of youth marketing budgets aren't. Not even close. Why?

One reason is that alternative youth marketing channels are just easier to find, plan and book. Marketers often don't even know where to start with student advertising, who to call, what's on offer.  And they are extremely time-poor.

If we can make this process easier, the more funding will flow to student media.

And that benefits everyone associated with student media, including our little company, Student Marketing Australia, part of Student Services Australia Pty Limited.

Of course, the project will only work if the information is up-to-date and accurate. It's up to student media owners to contribute a little bit of time each year to keep the project viable and working for all.

Lastly, what's this cost?

For campus organisations, inclusion in the directory is free if you are listed by Feb 28.

Premium listings can also be purchased, with the funds going towards promoting the site.

So what do you think?

We launched on Feb 1, 2010. This is our first go at the project. How did we do? What should change? It's meant to be a project that benefits everyone involved in campus media -so it's open for input from all.
